although i'm doing the low carb thing, i'm also trying to take it easy on the fat. anyone know of any low fat or fat free salad dressings that don't taste like shit. (particularly a spicy ranch or creamy ceasar)

Re: low fat dressing
Thu, February 10, 2005 - 5:26 AMI think most of the low fat dressings tend to use sugar replacements to make up for lack of taste. If you make your own, you'd be better off...you could try this one with 1/2 and 1/2 or something:

I'm sure if you check SOAR or something, you'd be able to adapt some dressing recipes there.
Good luck. -

Re: low fat dressing
Thu, February 10, 2005 - 9:40 AMI agree with making your own. You can easily pack so much flavor into a salad without much fat or carbs. Sprinkle a bit of goat cheese over the greens and mix a dressing with balsalmic, garlic, basil paste (awesome stuff you can even get at safeway, olive oil, and salt/pepper. It's cheaper than salad dressing too!
